Our dear Uncle Gary and Aunt Diane made these ornaments for the kids out of wood from the home farm pasture.
It is so nice to have a keepsake in memory of Uncle Gary.
All of the cousins...except Aaron. The girls were insistent that I stick my belly in the shot to include him, but my big belly would have lowered the cuteness factor significantly :)
Jack is looking too cool for school here while the girls are hamming it up as usual.
The girls were so good to play with Jack. Hide and seek, hot potato (with the reindeer shown in the pic), dancing and they even shared their Barbie time with him.
Jack and Gamps
As Uncle Jason said, "Thank goodness Jack is here to make sure the house is safe for Jack."
Jack was very diligent about shutting the doors to the rooms he was not allowed in. He would also pick up little pieces of garbage and put them in the trash for us.
That's quite a load in the dump truck!
The theme for Jack's presents this year was "ooo-wee-BIG-HUGE-TRUCKS!!!"
Jack loved the oversized blankie from Uncle Mike and Aunt Chauna- he kept diving into it and pretending to sleep while the cousins were taking their turns at gift opening.
Within minutes of arriving in Chelan, Jack started singing "Jingle Bells."
I knew I hadn't taught him that one yet, so I wondered where he learned it.
I guess the girls showed him this singing snowman that sang it and he picked it right up.
His favorite holiday song is "Up on the Housetop"- so much so that he sings "ho, ho, ho" at the top of his lungs to wake us up in the morning.
He likes to sing the refrain to "Poidem Spolu do Bethlema" which is a Czech carol that my Amabile choir sang this season. Yep- he sings it in Czech.
Can you say, "future choir nerd?"
We called our family from all around the country to sing and play "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" It was really fun to hear everyone's voice again, since we mostly keep in touch via facebook or e mail.
After opening his presents, Jack was so happy to have Griffin set up his Little People Airport. He kept himself occupied throughout the adult unwrapping time, what a little trooper!
