1) "Uh, Oh! Where is binky? Can you find it Jack?"
2) Jack searches his crib, lifting up blankies, teddy, monkey, puppy, snowman.
3) Jack finds binky and cackles a bit, sticks it in his mouth and lays down.
4) Mom and/or Dad say "I love you" turn off the light and shut the door.
5) Jack babbles/sings/laughs and kicks the wall for about 20 minutes then falls asleep for 10-12 hours.
Recent Sleep Cue Addition:
4a) Jack says in an impatient manner, "turn off the light" or "shut the door"
Ok, I guess our kid values his alone time and can't wait for us to leave!
Re-writing the Bible?
We have a cute hand-me-down book from cousin Ashley called "The Bible for Little Hearts."
Jack runs around our oval coffee table 10-12 times singing "bi-ble for lit-tle hearts, bi-ble for little hearts" to the tune of "Farmer in the Dell," finds the book and crawls into my lap.
Then I read the bible verses (which are abridged, illustrated and the language has been simplified). Jack can say the last word of most of the bible verses, very cute...although tonight he exchanged "loyal" for "Doyle," (which is his middle name/Gampa's name too) so the verse turned out to read:
"The Lord gives his own reward for doing good and for being Doyle."
Stephen and I had a good chuckle over that one!
So cute Darcy! These are the moments you definitely would forget if you didn't blog them! Glad you wrote it down for posterity! :)
