6 month Stats and Halloween

Aaron's 6 month Stats:
Weight: 19 lbs. 13.4 ounces....81.25%
Height: 29 inches....98.3%
Head Circumference: 45 cm...76%

He is still a bit behind big brother when he was 6 months: Jack was 99% for Weight and Height and 97% for Head Circumference.  I know- poor kid, he is so tiny! Ha!

Here is a side profile of what we are up against.  This is some serious cheek girth and of course, one of the first attributes people comment on.  The second is often how serious he is, to which I reply, "Well, he does have huge cheeks, its not so easy to lift them for a smile."
Seriously, do they make cheek bras?

Here is our angel in the tub with brother for the first time.
He has been sitting up on his own for about 3 weeks now.
He is now at the fun stage where he is so giggly in the morning and at night.  He loves being tickled.  I will try to catch it on video for you all.

The boys enjoy their first tub time.
You can see Aaron gnawing on a cup, he is really teething- lots of chewing and drool, but no teeth emerging yet.

Mommy has too much time on her hands :)

Yes, this is Aaron's default look, extremely judgmental.
Auntie Jen said he looks you up and down like a critical junior high girl.

Jack sings: "Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat."
Our first stop was Grandma and Grandpa's house of course.
This was the first year that we allowed Jack to walk up to the door, knock and say trick or treat.  The first stranger's house was hilarious, he knocked, tried to open the door on his own (which I immediately thwarted) then when the lady opened the door, he marched right into her entry way!
Yep, we need to learn about stranger danger.

We had about two and a half weeks of Jack expressing serious anxiety over preschool- like crying and screaming, "I want Mommy back."
Luckily we are out of that stage now, he is back to being so excited and running into the classroom, barely saying goodbye to me.
We have also lucked out the past week and a half: HE IS NAPPING AGAIN!!!
Oh my- I really needed this routine to return! Thankful Thankful!!!

  1. Darcy,
Too cute! Love this! And the video of Jack introducing himself and his brother was sweet too! I had to laugh at the "default" Aaron look as well that he has the critical look of a junior high girl. Funny! Your little guys are growing up, so fun to see them, thanks for the post!
    Love,
    Heather
