Jack gave Daddy the best belated Father's Day present by sleeping through the night last night...9 hours! We put him down at 9:30 pm as usual and are usually awakened at 3 am, but this morning, Jack slept til 6:30 am! Boy it felt so foreign and WONDERFUL to sleep uninterrupted. We aren't expecting this to happen again- we are afraid we might jinx it!!!!
In this pic, Jack is swaddled in his Miracle Blanket, I think this is another factor along with the Babywise book as to why he is sleeping so well. Dr. Chien also mentioned that babies 12 lbs and over get more sleep because they have more fat in reserves to keep them from getting hungry in the middle of the night.
More news, our kid is HUGE! We have had to extend the strap on the Baby Bjorn and adjust the straps on the carseat. He is now wearing 6 month clothes at 7 weeks. CRAZY! Our pediatrician says this is normal, especially since he started out as nearly a 10 lb baby and he was a week late. Steve and I spent about half an hour going through all of his little clothes and holding them up against him- his torso is very long, so most of the smaller onesies are now in storage. I just ordered some 6-9 month clothes online from the Children's Place... Emily I got great deals thanks for the advice!
WOW! Jack is such an easy-going little guy. I am so happy for you! He just keeps getting cuter. :) Can't wait to meet him.
ReplyDeleteI would loan you Dylan's clothes, but most of them are on loan from Kim (my old student teacher). Do you want me to ask her if you can borrow them?
What a chunky guy! How cool that he slept through the night that one time! :) It will happen more often than you know from now on I am sure. Very cute pics Darcy, thanks for posting!
