Jack's current favorite foods are scrambled eggs, sweet potato, refried beans, banana and any bread. He tends to eat these with such relish, smashing the food into his mouth and all over his face while humming and chewing.
He's in the all-too-familiar stage of throwing food on the floor.
So far, I am paying no attention to it (only non-chalantly taking the food off the tray) as he is wanting to see a reaction out of his parents.
Thus, the floor looks like a war zone at the end of meals lately.
I FINALLY caught him doing this funny suck-in your belly thing.
As far as I can see, he just contracts his abs inward and holds it, it has no connection to breathing, he just randomly does it.
He looks like a little body-builder trying to hold a pose.
My lovely tree Peonies are blooming right now.
Jack and I often walk out on the patio to check out the plants, which we have done in fine weather ever since he was born.
He is now wanting to rip up the plants which is a big no-no (Uncle Justin would freak out!)
Jack also ripped a bit of book and he voraciously pursues any magazine or newspaper within reach.
G'pa Doyle was saying he might get the notorious nickname "Jack the Ripper" if he keeps it up!
Darcy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new posts! Fun to see Jack grow! We have the throwing food on the floor times 2, so I feel your pain! We usually give a little slap to the hand at the stage we are at now and we have had less of this problem thankfully! I love the "Jack the Ripper" nickname...too funny! We have SO SO many ripped books around here, I have given up trying to fix many of them. I am sure with one though you might be able to salvage your books and or prevent him from ripping them in the first place.
Blessings,
Heather
