JACK - the one year old!
Its been fun reminiscing with family about the day he was born, which seems like yesterday!
Jack got a really sweet E-Card from G'ma & G'pa Morrissey, he was very fascinated with the animated dog and the music and even giggled at the end.
Jen and I found this hat at the party store, we had to get the adult sized hat (with adjustable velcro) to fit Jack's head!
Well at least we can annually torture him throughout his childhood with this crown!
We had a fun day with Gamma, Gampa, Daddy and Auntie Jen.
We had his one year portraits taken, oh my goodness he has turned into a ham. Nearly every shot was a winner, which makes it so difficult to choose which ones to print!
Afterward, we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory (yum!).
Jack is really hitting his stride with trying out different foods, today he ate goat cheese, corn fritters, pita and hummus, turkey and chocolate cookie. The last one wasn't too tough to eat!
We were all nice and full after lunch, everyone was ready for a nap....
a few of us got right on the nap! In fact, I think Gampa fell asleep before Jack!
Later, our little family went to St. Edward State Park and took a beautiful hike that ended just in time for a warm sun break so we played on the kid toys.
I think we have started two great traditions: a birthday hike and an embarrassing birthday crown.
We are looking forward to Jack's official party this Friday!
