1st Birthday Party

Alright, the pics on this blog might disappoint some of you since I can't post shots of Jack digging into his B-day cake (it is all on video and too big to post).
Jack had the baseball cake all to himself, he immediately stuck his hand in the frosting, then was vexed that his hands were messy and tried to flick it off.
Shortly, he stuck a finger in his mouth and seemed pleased!

NO! I did not make this cake- psha! I had Jennifer's friend do this for us, it is based on the party theme- she did a terrific job and it tasted great!

Jason, Justin, Gampa

Brandy, Stephen, Christa and Emma.

Gamma and Auntie Lou

The kids expressed themselves with sidewalk chalk.

The weather was just above 65 degrees so we were able to eat outside...pizza, salad, fruit & veggie tray, various chips and dips.

Here's my baby boy....he grabbed 2 pizza crusts off of G'pa's plate for part of his b-day meal.
Auntie Julia tried to get him to eat some raw broccoli and he wasn't having it!

The kids had a BLAST playing in our side yard. 13 year old Griffin led the troops with a tag game and 3 year old Joey had a fun time running after the older kids.

Joey got Griffin.
I just loved how the older kids fell to the ground when Joey tagged them- I don't think the other parents were too happy about the grass stains though!

Pretty fast little guy!
Later, the kids (youngest to oldest) took 3 swings each at the Pinata. It was fun to watch everyone try (with little success) then Griffin just tore into it with his fab swinging technique and the kids went nuts grabbing for candy.
One of Jack's presents was a bubble maker, the kids had a great time chasing the bubbles!

My boys from the back.

We finally checked the mail after the party and my dear friend Naomi had sent Jack a present of finger puppets and a book. Nay, I started singing "Little Bunny Foo-Foo" with the puppets even before I read your postcard....too funny!

Once again, sorry that I don't have a lot of pics to share, as I said before most of it was captured on video.

  1. Ha! I knew that Little Bunny Fufu would come immediately to mind. I'm so glad the package arrived. I loved looking at all these pics- I saved them for after I finished another chapter of my final paper for this semester! Love to all!
