For this trip, we decided to stop bottles and just give Jack whole milk out of sippy cups AND no more baby food (except for breakfast). Oh boy- that is MUCH easier!
Food we especially enjoyed: Chachos burritos, Tacos de Acapulco, The Girls (for breakfast), Old West Cinnamon Rolls.
We discovered Jack will eat all varieties of Mexican food, breakfast food and bread.
He loves french fries, and never let him catch sight of a banana or else that is all he will want to eat!
Jack is a walker, he is keeping us in shape!
It takes nearly 4 hours to drive to the Oakland airport from Oceano, then nearly a 2 hour flight back to Seattle. He is a little trooper!
We were also eerily serenaded by our little guy...."no, no, no----- no, no, no, no----"
to the tune of "Smoke on the Water!"
I think he learned it in the womb while I was teaching guitar.
Going to as many parks as we can find...Jack loves to climb the steps, swing and go down toddler slides by himself. He doesn't really interact with other kids, he just observes and when one of them gets close to him he stops and checks them out.
Swinging at Avila Beach.
TV on, TV off. TV on, TV off.
TV on, TV off. TV on, TV off.
TV on, TV off. TV on, TV off.
TV on, TV off. TV on, TV off.
Yep- pretty annoying. He loved playing with the remotes and to our horror, he found out how to open the doors (they had handles, not knobs like our house) and he would go into the bathroom and try to eat as much toilet paper as he could before we chased him down.
Luckily it was not used tp!
Beautiful rooftop deck- the adults would get some sun while the baby naps.
We stuck Jack's peapod in the walk-in closet. It was perfect for him, since it was far away from the main room where all of the noise would occur and there were no windows.
He slept really well in there.
We also got him trained to just crawl into the tent without getting swaddled.
We would lead him in with his stuffed monkey and say "nigh, nigh with monkey?" and he would follow with his A-framed walked saying "nigh, nigh!"
