- Sing a whole song from beginning to end. Previously he would keep looping the B sections of songs and never finish.
- Make his own medleys of his fav songs and keeps them in (relatively) the same key. Example: "Jingle bells, jingle bells... Frosty the snowman was a jolly, happy soul... twinkle, twinkle little star."
- Sing a known melody on random syllables like "doo" or "la"
- Substitute words in songs (a form of improvisation)- one happy "tow truck", two happy "tow trucks"
- Make up his own little songs. The latest was a cute song about a doggy that consisted of the la so mi toneset.
- Listen to a familiar melody played on the piano, recognize the song and sing the melodic response on lyrics when I stop playing.
Last, Jack had a really cute word mix up today. We were snacking on some "Pirate Booty"- its like a puffy rice/corn thing, and he kept saying, "more tired booty? more tired booty? Please!"
