Aaron's Stats- 1 month

Here is our little guy, totally zonked. So far, Aaron is a very good sleeper- consistently sleeping 4 hours at one month and now he slept 6 hours at 8 weeks! He is really good about getting himself to sleep in the crib and just about anywhere as you can see above.

I call him "The Great Gaspy"....Get it like "Gatsby" ha! It still sounds like he is gasping for air when he is awake. The docs and nurses have checked his lungs, they say he is just noisy although it is very unnerving to hear at night, we are always worrying about SIDS even though the risk factors are low in our case.

I still have those moments at night when I suddenly wake up, half conscious, frantically searching the bed for Aaron, thinking that he is suffocating in the bed (even though he sleeps in the crib). I shake Stephen awake in the process and ask him where Aaron is. Poor Stephen, will he ever get a good night's rest? At least I am consistent, I had this same issue when Jack was a newborn.

Anyway, to the stats:

As you know, Aaron started out at 9 lbs, 5 oz and 22 inches long....pretty big boy! Like all newborns, his weight dipped after birth and we have found that he is pretty "urpy" with formula, so we were concerned that he wasn't on a good weight gain pace.

Luckily our worries about his weight gain were unfounded at his one month check up. Here are his stats:
Weight: 10 lbs 1 oz....51%
Length: 22.5 inches...80%
Head Circumference: 39 cm...65%

I am still breastfeeding but we still need to supplement with formula just like with Jack. We are now alternating Good Start and Soy formula, trying to see if he will spit up less. He is also the stinkiest, gassiest baby ever! Like surprisingly stinky, so consider yourself warned if you are holding him!
